In an adult evening math class, the average age of the class of men and women is 36. The average age of the men is 45, and the average age of the women is 30. What is the ratio of the women to the men in the group?

Call the numbers of men and women are x, y

we have 36(x+y)=45x+30y => 6y=9x => x/y = 3/2

The ratio of the men to the women is 3/2
