There is an old puzzle about a student who takes a 10-question test. She receives 5 points for each correct answer and has 2 points taken away for each incorrect answer. She answers all 10 problems and receives a score of 29. The puzzle then asks how many questions she answered correctly. The problem is that these puzzles give the answer but no explanation. Will you give it a try?
