In a laboratory, two sub-atomic particles are being crashed into each other as part of an experiment. Particle #1 is moving directly toward particle #2 at 15 mers a second. Particle #2 is moving directly toward particle #1 at a speed of 25 mers a second. The particles are 1,000 mers apart when they begin moving. 1 second before crash, each of them will need to travel 1 second until they trash
So #1 has to travel 15 mers, and #2 has to travel 25 mers, so the distance will be 40 mers
