When a > 5 and b \(\le\) 5, a @ b = (a + b)(a − b), and when a \(\le\) 5 and b > 5, a @ b = (b + a)(b − a). What is the value of 2 × ((2 @ 6) @ −4) − 1?

    We have: 2@6 = ( 6 + 2 )( 6 - 2 ) = 8 . 4 = 32

    32@ -4 = ( 32 - 4 )( 32 + 4 ) = 28 . 32 = 896

    => 2. ((2@6)@-4) - 1 = 2. 896 - 1 = 1791
