The distance a hare runs in an hour is: \(1\cdot60=60\left(m\right)\)

The distance a tortoise crawls in an hour is: \(1\cdot60\cdot60=3600\left(cm\right)=36\left(m\right)\)

So the distance the hare travels further than the tortoise is: \(60-36=24\left(m\right)\)

The distance a hare runs in an hour is: 1⋅60=60(m)

The distance a tortoise crawls in an hour is: 1⋅60⋅60=3600(cm)=36(m)

So the distance the hare travels further than the tortoise is: 60−36=24(m)
