To cut a log of wood into six pieces, Ben must cut 5 times => 1 time he cut: \(30:5=6\left(minutes\right)\)
To cut a log of wood into nine pieces, Ben must cut 8 times => The time he cut is: \(6.8=48\left(minutes\right)\)
My answer is D: 48 minutes.
The answer A and C are wrong.

1st we cut all of them but at the 8th piece, we divide it it turn out that the 9th piece had cut right when we cut the 8th piece off
