    Edge of the square:

    48 : 4=12 (cm)

    The rectangle length is:

    12 . 2=24(cm)

    Rectangle width is:

    12 : 2=6(cm)

    The circumference of the rectangle is:

    (24+6) . 2=60(cm)

        Answer:60 cm
