Calculate:\(516-\left[340+\left(-4-1\right)\right]\)

\(516-\left[340+\left(-4-1\right)\right]=516-\left[340+\left(-5\right)\right]=516-335=181\)

We have : 516 - [340 + (-4 - 1)]

= 516 - (340 - 5)

= 516 - 335

= 181
